The Saft LS26500 Plus is an improved version of the widely used standard C-size LS26500 lithium battery. The new, improved cell has a higher capacity for longer lasting performance.
The bobbin design of the LS series enables optimum loading of the active materials, ensuring the highest possible energy output. The exceptionally low self-discharge rate (less than 1% per year) makes them ideal for long-term applications. These batteries are therefore ideal as a memory backup in various computer systems, PLC machines and medical devices.
Saft's LS 26500plus cell is perfect for long-term use, typically between 5 and over 20 years, and is designed for low base currents with periodic pulses.
These cells are characterised by excellent corrosion resistance and a consistently high voltage over most of the life of the application. They also operate in a wide temperature range from -60ºC to +85ºC. The battery housings are hermetically sealed to prevent any leakage.
